Hand a dataset to a colleague without email attachments

Upload to a shared prefix and tell them the path — no 25 MB limit, no shadow copies.

Before Fenwavead hoc waiting

“The CSV is 180 MB so I have put it on my personal Drive, link below — let me know when you have it and I will delete it”

What the wait costs

Company data on personal storage because the sanctioned route needed a cloud console nobody had.

Capability

Object Storage

Files leak to personal cloud drives when the approved path is harder than the unapproved one. A shared prefix in Object Storage with write access for the team turns the handoff into an upload and a path — inside your own bucket, inside your own retention policy, inside the audit log.

How it works

  1. 01Open the shared storage connection in Object Storage.
  2. 02Create a folder if you need one, then upload the file.
  3. 03Share the path; anyone with read access to that connection can fetch it.
  4. 04Delete it when it is no longer needed — if you hold the delete grant.
