Ship Shopify themes and apps like any other service
A Shopify theme or app is a component like the rest of the system, deployed from git through the same environments and permissions. Every branch gets its own unpublished theme on the Dev store, Staging carries the merchant’s live content, and Production is published blue/green so a bad release rolls back in one click.

In this capability
- Theme per branch on the Dev store, created on first deploy
- Staging pulls the live store’s templates, settings and locales before pushing code
- Production published blue/green, rolled back in one click
- App versions — extensions, checkout UI, Functions — released and rolled back per environment
- The app’s backend wired as an ordinary service, its credentials handed over as a Secret
- Slack warns before an App Automation Token expires
